While she is thrilled when she learns he isn't going to sell the special spot - she is less than thrilled to find out he invited his new girlfriend - and her young son - and that he is planning on getting remarried. Things take a much more drastic turn for the worse when a group of escaped convicts show up - and Becky finds a new way to unleash her pent-up anger with bloody retaliation. -- Chris Kavan

Imagine Home Alone with a hard R and much more sadistic intent. Lulu Wilson goes all out as a teen dealing with A LOT and taking that frustration out on a group of despicable white supremacist escaped convicts. Kevin James is an... interesting choice - but at least he has a mountain of a man in Robert Maillet as his (somewhat reluctant) support. It's certainly something a bit different in the old getting revenge genre.

I respect Kevin James for coming out of his comfort zone and doing something against his type. I will always support artists who want to expand their skills, but unfortunately Mr. James feels miscast here. Not once did I believe he was playing this character and I didn't find him intimidating as I couldn't take him seriously. Throughout the movie I only saw Paul Blart if he turned racist, which I guess made it somewhat enjoyable. However, I think it's the writing that's at fault here and not Kevin James, as the writing gave him nothing to work with and the character itself was so underdeveloped.

Complete nonsense but immensely entertaining.

Becky is as strong-willed and vindictive as they come
and you just tortured and killed her only living parent.

Well, in that case, “Becky” is the right movie for you. As with “Bushwick“, also directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, you don’t have to wait long for the violence to erupt. First, there’s a brief introduction of the main characters Becky (Lulu Wilson) and father Jeff (Joel McHale), who wants to spend a weekend with his girlfriend Kayla (Amanda Brugel) and her son Ty (Isaiah Rockcliffe). Subsequently, you’ll see a violent escape …
