All in all, it's only a middle of the road addition to one of the world of movies' superior action series. But "Dead Reckoning- Part 1" has some thrilling set-pieces and powerful moments that actively unravel the humanity and mortality of its everyman hero Ethan Hunt.

"We live and die in the shadows, for those we hold close, and for those we never meet."
If you were following the production of Dead Reckoning, then you know the mission to finish the film was beyond hellish. The entire filming was struck with bad luck. If not, don’t worry - I will fill you in. If you already know or don’t care - skip the next paragraph.
So, this movie and The Batman were hit the hardest during filming due to the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. The original plan was to shoot Parts 1 & 2 back to back, but with delays messing up the filming schedule and the budget ballooning to $291 million, making it the most expensive MI film to date. Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie somehow manage to up the ante on the action scenes but not losing sight of the impressive ensemble cast. The action scenes are breathtaking in their execution and exhilarating to watch.

Recurring cast members like Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and even Henry Czerny (from the 1996 movie) are good. Newcomers that stand out include Hayley Atwell as a plucky thief that crosses paths with Ethan Hunt and Pom Klementieff as a vicious assassin. The …

Tom Cruise isn't slowing down and that's good news for the Mission: Impossible series as Dead Reckoning proves to be the action icing on your summer movie cake. A rogue AI threatens the planet and Kittridge (Henry Czerny - reprising his role all the way back from the OG Mission: Impossible) knows there's only one man who can find the fancy two-part key that holds humanity's future: Ethan Hunt.
The film does frame AI in a decidedly believable way - controlling the truth. In the fun meeting between America's top intelligence officials, they even say they ignored the threat when it was just playing around in social media with fake news - because it helped their agenda. But, of course, now that this rogue program dubbed The Entity has infiltrated things like NASA, the stock market, global …
