A somewhat typical, somewhat bland Liam Neeson action/thriller in which he plays another man with a certain set of skills - that being an ice road trucker. There's minimal action here along with a heavy-handed message about putting corporate interests ahead of safety and, you know, saving people's lives. It's fine - nothing more, nothing less.

Standard Liam Neeson action thriller. There are some tense moments when the truckers slowly creep on the ice and it starts cracking. It takes a while to get going though.

So, when is Liam Neeson retiring from action movies? He said he would a while ago. The movie itself, very predictable and stupid, not the best kind of stupid for these types of movies. The visual effects looked so awful and unconvincing I questioned if I was watching a Sci Fi channel movie. The directing wasn’t anything notable and the writing was so horrendous, ridiculous situations and none of it was believable. I had a hard time finishing this one. I can't believe that both Liam Neeson and Laurence Fishburne agreed to be in this. 'The Ice Road' is cold and boring.
