Heavy on the drama but somehow still felt a bit empty overall. Still, leads Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan are compelling and the story is impactful, but, in this case, also feels very dry and by-the-numbers.

A well-meaning but artificial docudrama recapping an earth-shattering journalistic event, "She Said" comes off as imitation "Spotlight."
