Everything the first "Spider-Verse" was and more. An energized, visually spellbinding reminder that mainstream entertainment can be exciting and at the same time be meaningful and innovative.

Across the Spider-Verse - Review

"Taking a crap in the establishment, I salute you."
Across the Spider-Verse is everything I want from a Spider-Man movie. It's got heart, soul, emotion, memorable characters, and exciting action set pieces.
If the third movie is fantastic, we are in for another amazing trilogy. These movies are taking animation to another level.
However, my favourite part of the film is the opening scene with Gwen Stacy, as we get more character from her, where she is emotionally vulnerable and how she uses quips as more of an emotional façade than genuine banter. The score is so beautiful and badass, which also adds to her character, as the music conveys how alone and full of remorse she is, someone who carries a lot of pain inside. A Brave, New Spider-Verse of Epic Proportions

When Spide-Man: Into the Spiderverse came out, it was a seismic shift in the way I perceived animation. It was truly like comic book come to life and the style was unique and impressive. The also put together a knockout cast to voice everyone from our reluctant hero Miles Morales to a talking Spider-Pig. If you were as impressed with Into the Spiderverse as I was - Across the Spider-Verse is what made the first film so good - and manages to be even better.
Our intro doesn't even focus on Miles - instead we catch up with Gwen Stacey aka Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) back in her home dimension still having a hard time connecting with anyone: her band, her father - and missing that connection she had.
