The movie has got flaws. Firstly, the pacing could have been smoother, and the visual effects looked unfinished. There were a few cheap jump scares, and the title ‘The Cursed’ is generic, as I prefer the original title, which was ‘Eight for Sliver’. So, after getting all of that out there, I think this was close to being a great horror movie, and I’m dead serious. The cinematography is fantastic, and the tone and atmosphere are eerie. The film is brutal and bloody, and I liked the approach to the werewolf formula that we are all familiar with but spun on its head. I think with better execution, it would’ve turned out well. As for what it is, it’s not bad, but a sluggish movie with brilliant elements.
