Plot: Levi Danube has just moved into his apartment and meets fellow tenant John Daniels. Shortly after, the pair witness an unexplained phenomena and, sensing money to be made, go about creating their own documentary about it. But the further they go down a paranoid rabbit hole trying to explain things, the more frayed their lives get revealing dark chapters in both their lives. -- Chris Kavan

Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson are certainly on a different wavelength and their films reflect that. Something in the Dirt is like every random theory (aliens, secret societies, other dimensions) mixed with a buddy comedy mixed with a documentary. It appeals to my sense of weirdness but I can tell this is not a film wide masses would embrace. I dig this Dirt - dark and comedic and WTF moments and warts and all.
