Plot: Young FBI Agent Lee Harker seems to have a sixth sense and is put on the case of a mysterious string of family murders - with a cryptic cipher being left behind at each one signed "Longlegs". Despite never being at the scene of the murders, each also revolving around the daughter's birthday on the 14th of the month, he somehow seems to exert control over the actions. As Lee gets closer to the truth, she realizes her own connection to the killer - and the revelations won't stop there. -- Chris Kavan

Longlegs is an excellent psychological thriller with a mix of Se7en and the Satanic Panic of the 80s-90s. Nicolas Cage is creep factor 10 while Maika Monroe makes for an excellent counter-point as the quiet, reserved but determined young FBI agent on his trail. Throw in a few twists along the way and Oz Perkins gives us an top-notch horror that lingers.

It grabs you almost immediately, and while it doesn't keep the tightness in its grip all the way through, "Longlegs" keeps the pressure on long enough to at least earn a rec as a solid 90s throwback.
