Denzel gives it his all, in an often ridiculous story. I just couldn't stand the writing of this film.

I enjoy watching Denzel Washington on screen because of his sincerity and realism when he performs. Unfortunately, a film cannot let one skilled actor and a solid supporting cast cannot elevate the quality of a film. This could have been better if the script was good. Such a talented cast, if only the direction, storytelling were gratifying. Even the ending was not satisfying. The message was clear, regrettably the manner of relaying it was problematic. Definitely not one of Denzel's best movies.
