I thought this movie could've been better. I liked the scene, though, when they are all forced to play basketball with just one ball.

I was surprised by this one. It was pretty dang good. A wonderful pay-back/good-guys-beat-bad-guys flick. Makes you feel proud.

It's no Shawshank, but it's not bad.

This movie is the reason I don't listen to critics that are paid for their opinion. When it came out it was slapped around and the verdict was that it was a poor movie. I didn't get to see it in the theaters, but I did get to catch it on HBO. First let me say that yest this is an average prison movie, and the direction seems to have taken liberally from movies like Cool Hand Luke, Shawshank Redemption, and even from The Longest Yard. Over all thought I can't say this movie is a bad one.
Robert Redford did a decent job as always. James Gandolfini... how can anyone go wrong with Tony Soprano playing the Warden of a prison? You can't! This movie isn't a classic, but it is definitely better than those balloonheads that are paid to stick their thumbs in the air, after they have been stuck …
