Sci-fi thriller which rips off Alien, The Thing, The Abyss, and any similar movie. Cast is too good for this material but they try their best. The creature’s design is kind of neat and the gore effects are suitable. Thanks to special effects maestro Stan Winston. The final confrontation is very sloppily edited and the pacing suddenly turns rushed.

Highly derivative "Alien under the sea" creature feature that's hugely unoriginal but reasonably entertaining. Hector Elizondo is always watchable and Amanda Pays running around in her underwear will appeal to a certain demographic...

poorely and cheap monster "quality", Leviathan is a hybrid: Aliens and The Thing, under water. The base, the mining suits are done ok, but do not prevent us of the danger that lays ahead. The creature is very outdated, scares no one, I'm sure. The ending is very stupid. Cruel bad taste.
