Not a good date movie. This story is about an ancient myth in which a cannibal can gain the essence of their fallen enemy once they are eaten. This movie is blood, dark and deranged. An often overlooked highlight in the pretty poor horror genre.

Ravenous is a well written story and all in all a good movie. It slowly creep up on you going under your skin as you get more and more disturbed. I am normally not a fan of movies involving cannibalism, but this one is different. The plot is well written and the athmosphere is eary and greatly helped by the creepy and masterly sound and music use compell you to keep on watching. This movie is very disturbing to watch, and this is certainly not for everyone. However I liked because it got the job done, without going to far over the egde. It pushed the limits just enough and creeped me out without leaving me scarred, hehe.
