The spoiled protagonist is obnoxious and impossible to empathize for. She makes "The Secret Garden" an unbearable bit of family entertainment.

There's a lot to love about this movie - lush photography, a beautiful soundtrack, and some subtle character moments. it draws you in with its slow pace and, sometimes, that causes the movie to fall into dullness. The fascinating moments outweigh the boring ones, however.
