I've been meaning to address a gap in my filmic experience up to this point: I really need to see some silent classics. I will have to add this to my list - along with Metropolis and Nosferatu.

This movie, in spite of its silence, is amazing. I feel like it fully captured the spirit of The Phantom of the Opera- it was dramatic, full of motion and emotion, and the text in between the images (almost always pulled directly from the book) -it was all perfect. I highly recommend this for any Phan, even if you treasure the musical above all else.
