Well, I admit my Cowboys & Aliens review is rather negative, but it's not so much that I thought the film was terrible, but more that I was disappointed it was a straight-up action film rather than a western/sci-fi hybrid. So if you're looking for a straight-up actin film, it's actually pretty good, just not what I was led to believe it was going to be. I was wavering between 2 and 2.5. I may yet change my mind.

It's better than the second one and I think I liked this one better than the first.

Bad Teacher Review comment
"... funniest movie of the year so far for me." But did you see Bridesmaide'? That one is so hilarious that it is going to be hard to beat, but I have hopes that Bad Teacher, Horrible Bosses, and 30 Minutes or Less will all be pretty funny.

i agree, the issue with golden gun is the 70's cheesiness is hard to accept in an era of pretty serious movies. I just like Moore, Christopher Lee, the midget, and I thought "goodnight" was one of the hottest bond girls (adjusted for hotness inflation).

yeah, I'm just not a fan of "old old school" vegas. And Connery's disinterest destroys it for me. You can just tell he was showing up for the paycheck but despised the part.

Best James Bond Movies comment
Here is my definitive Bond List:
1) The Spy Who Loved Me - Moore at his absolute best
2) From Russia With Love - very vintage Bond
3) Goldfinger - just brilliant characterization
4) Goldeneye - well written tough bond film
5) Casino Royale - Daniel Craig comes out tough
6) For Your Eyes Only - Moore's second best outing
7) LIcense to Kill - Dalton just kills it.. why did it have to end here.
8) On Her Majesty's Secret Service - an actual bond love story
9) The Man with the Golden Gun …

Winter's Bone Review comment
I am confused, so perhaps you can help me out here. "Winter's Bone" was the most absurd movie I've seen in a long time - maybe it was because I watched it at 2am, but the mere fact that the story goes so slowly to a very unbelievable end, how can it be worth any accolade. Its like committees all over the world got together and asked, "What movie this year can we get people to buzz over that just isn't worth it?" Dreamgirls comes to mind several years ago.

Well, it's worth seeing though it's definitly not the best film of the year :)
