Happy 4th! Well, I really liked The Brothers Bloom. However, Adoration is probably my favorite so far. Everything in it: the acting, direction, story, etc. just floored me. I'll have to start making my top 2009 list and I'll have to include those films.

Well, Avatar could always be good, especially since they're putting so much money into its release, or at least I'm assuming I am. James Cameron has been working on it long enough! Although, I am yawning just thinking about the 163 min. runtime. hmm.

I hope to see Public Enemies soon, but I'm trying to catch up by watching lighter fare like The Hangover and Whatever Works. This year overall, I'm looking forward to Pedro Almodovar's new one the most: Broken Embraces.

Stalker is way better to me, for several reasons. But, i've to ask you-have you seen any tarkovsky already? solyaris i think. yes. just checked, and i quote "It does show some really good scenes and concepts but it's major let down is the pacing."
