There Will Be Blood was good - 3.5 stars from me. I have a feeling The Master is going to have a hard time topping that film as well, but overall Paul Thomas Anderson has done right by me (except Punch Drunk Love - I still don't understand why people find that one so interesting).

I'm thinking I'll be watching this sometime this week - don't know if I'll be able to drag Nick along. Still, I have a feeling it will be up for Oscars, I'll debate whether it deserves to win anything until after I see it.

The Dark Knight is still king of all super hero movies - but yes, I also thought The Avengers was good, but Dark Knight Rises was better. Avengers is all about action and comedy - Dark Knight Rises is totally serious and deep. They come at you from totally different angles, but I think each film has its merits.
