Apocalypse Now Review comment

I absolutely agree that the redux is total crap. There's a reason those scenes were edited out, and it completely destroys the mood.

definitely check it out a second time. I hated it the first time I watched it.

I'd say War of the Worlds is better, mainly because the mystery in that movie was the point, while in I am Legend the information is out there and the main character knows it, we just don't ever get to see it, well just glimpses. The endings for both were both pretty crappy though.

The rage is definately similar. These infected things had a supernatural quality to them. Both are based on a virus getting out an mutating humans. Resident Evil, she has the cure in her blood which is another similarity. I think it is fair to say if you melded, 28 days, R.E and Cast Away together you have almost all the elements of this movie. odd..

I Am Legend Review comment

I definately see some of 28 days later in it, but I feel that the movie has more in common with Resident Evil. The more I saw of the infected the more R.E. came out into the movie.

alex, my friend pretty much had the same opinion as you for No Country for Old Men. I read a spoiler though before I saw it today so I was a little bit prepared.
