primer is messed up, how'd you come across that movie? I think I finally understand what happened in the last 15 minutes of the movie.

it took me two times to see 8 1/2 too. i recommend seeing it - Woody Allen ripped it off with his film: Stardust Memories. I recommend both. Maybe the Woody Allen one first, so it prepares you for 8 1/2? It worked for me.

An unasked advice about foreign films: Instead of label them as some do with "subtitled" ones, maybe you can see them as manifiestos owned by the specific country. Instead of a subtitled, you're gonna see an italian movie. (taking 8 1/2 as example) Filmed in a spefic time of the director's life and the country, the people and the social and political issues. Remember that it's "easy" to you american films not because you know english, but because you know where is everything comming from. With …

I've to watch it with subtitles because I can miss some parts if I don't. Although, once a turn them off and I get used to the listening, is not that difficult to understand. But, my wife doesn't like it. And she knows better english than me. Ironic, huh? Anyway. Is that the reason of why is not that hard to me watching subtitled films. They are all subtitled after all :0) I see you've seen Lives of others. I wanna see that one.

Hm. That's what happend sometimes to me with some movies. There are movies that are too long for 1.30 hour. And too short for 3 hrs. It's true that Gangs has a lot of more characters, and more "movement". But, that doesnt mean that it's a more fun movie. At least, not to me. Still, I feel free to use the word boring specifically with that movie, but if I'm comparing it with Taxi, I'd say that Taxi has more depth, more character development, and a more timeless script. The transformation that …

Hey, Alex - Hope you're well. Nice work on the additional flix.

Noticed I can't upload a profile image, gives me an error message it requires a .jpeg, which is the file type I'm using. Could be a Mac thing, but definitely a bug.

How's things?
