Money is exactly what makes it mainstream. If they can make 200 million they obviously fit a nitch that is big enough that it appeals to the masses. Is Fallout Boy or the Killers mainstream? YES! Why, because so many people know of them, like them and buy their albums. Do our parents know who they are? You said that because it opened 4th with 12mil means he only appeals to an artsy crowd, then why did kill bill opening weekend get 22mil and kill bill 2 got 25 mil, Sin City got 25 mil. They are more artsy than spiderman and blockbusters but their is a clear difference between being artistic and being mainstream. Being artistic is doing what Terentino does but realize that they apeals to a mainstream audience if they pulp fiction wouldn't have grossed 200 million world wide. No they are not …

That is mainstream, if Grind house opened in 2600 Theatres if it were not mainstream it would have had a limited opening. Lots of good mainstream movies never hit number one or even number 4 in the boxoffice it doesn't make them less mainstream.
I think he is a great director but if you were to ask 100 people to name 3 directors he would appear in that list, not because I asked arsty people but because he is known and mainstream.

That's alright, I was pretty busy myself. Grind House was pretty awesome! I wouldn't give it 4 stars or anything, but it was a very entertaining movie. Plus, you can't beat 2 for 1 with hilarious trailers! In a couple weeks I may come down to KC. I also have a friend that works at a US Bank here in Lincoln. I will ask her what options we have. Maybe she'll be able to just do it or something.

I would give underworld a 3 star rating not 3.5 and there is a big difference between giving a movie that. The other movies that I gave 3.5 stars are quality movies, Pitch Black is arguable though.

I can't believe you gave Waterworld 3.5 stars! What are you thinking rating it "nearly perfect" and the same as Jurassic Park and Batman! I understand liking the movie, but it isn't that good.
