V/H/S Review comment
I have high hopes for Sinister, which I'm seeing this friday back-to-back with Argo. I haven't been this excited for a horror film since Insidious. Hopefully it'll deliver the goods

V/H/S Review comment
I was looking forward to this - the last anthology horror film I watched turned out better than expected (Trick r Treat) - but I was worried about the whole found footage aspect of V/H/S. I'll still probably catch this at some time, but my hopes have been tempered a bit (I still hope Sinister turns out to be good, however).

This is being touted by many as the best teen drama to come out in many years. I, for one, was sold on the cast but knowing that a film actually may meet the expectations I hope for - I'll definitely watch this now.

Take Shelter Review comment
I think Michael Shannon is a criminally underrated actor - that being said, I've had this film on my list to watch out for since I first came across it - nice to know I should be in for a treat.

"when John and Lori have long conversations with each other about their relationship, it gets pretty boring."I completely agree with you, its the only thing that slows down this surprisingly hilarious film. One of the freshest comedies around. Great review!

You're the second one whose given this a positive full review - I like film with atmosphere and this apparently oozes that. I don't get disturbed too easily either, but I'm hoping this turns out well (and this it pops up on Netflix before too long so I can actually see it for myself).

Total Recall Review comment
The movie would have been at least passable if more style and intensity was put into the action sequences. I can enjoy a movie with all action and little substance, if the action is done stylishly. Nowadays there isnt much stylish action. It's all shaky and quickly cut to hide the fact that no effort in choreography was put in it. I mean, of course every now and then you get great action movies, but there's also a lot of crappy action movies with crappy action (Transformers 2).

You hit the nail on the head - all action, no substance. No wonder they waited until August to release it - but even then, it failed to spark much interest. Chalk this up as yet another disappointing reboot.

I'll be seeing the Dark Knight at least one more time as well. I wish there was an IMAX theater here in Lincoln because I think this film would be worth it. Can't wait for the review!

Excellent review - and I couldn't agree more. Easily my favorite Wes Anderson film to date. Criterion better snap up this film and give me a disc loaded with extras, because this film deserves the Cadillac treatment.
