I found this site on AOL (I think) and figured I'd check it out. I'm a big movie buff and was excited to have a place to share & rate my faves (& least faves) with others and to also see what others thought of movies I'm thinking about checkin out. So thanks for the comment.

Then why don't you use a formula say overall entertainment value + artistic merits = your final rating.

But then isn't a 1.5 rating a bit too harsh. I mean the guy (Zack Snyder) almost did the impossible fitting so many pieces of the story into one. And a lot of fans/non-fans thought the novel couldn’t be translated to film

Yeah, I agree with you as well. I did read the graphic novel, they basically took it as the story board for the movie and made the movie, so that's why everything is the way it is. The dialog, the flash backs, all that happened identically in the graphic novel. Doesn't translate into a movie well, it definitely dragged on.

I enjoyed Rorschach as his real identity more than when he was Rorschach. The only person who can get away with narrating that much and have a voice like that is Clint Eastwood. You're right Josh, they had him talking too much.
This review is pretty spot on. If he couldn't fit 12 issues into 2 hours and 45 minutes he shouldn't have. He could have spread it out into 2 movies and made twice as much money... and created something more enjoyable..

The series ran up to 12 issues that's why those unnecessary scenes you've mentioned are there. He squeezed everything in to a 2 hour 45 min film. Also Rorshach's voice wasn't that bad at all, it almost sounded like Bale's Batman. His growlish tone I thought was absolutely brilliant since he's a little bit psychotic and all

yeah, I forgot about Gangs Of New York. I really like Eragon, which gets me into pissing matches with a bunch of my friends

Movies I Want To See List comment
Charlie Bartlett was great, but don't bother with Shutter. It sucks. Then again, I hate remakes, especially ones of a movie I hated in the first place.

Worst All Time List comment
2001 was an excellent movie, and I thought Eragon is severely underated. Good list, though. Speed 2 sucked (love the origional) and Batman & Roin made me seek professional help.
