Either way, dude. I don't think that can really count. 1) he was uncredited. 2) he didn't help write or direct, and your list is all about directors and writers. Oh well, your list. Not mine.

Spielberg had absolutely nothing to do with Taxi Driver. It was all Scorsese and Paul Schrader.

The ending was brilliant. Little happens because Hitchcock was trying to build up suspense. Its the same technique spielberg used when making Jaws.

Boring? Dude, Psycho is one of the best films in existence. The Shining was boring at a few parts. Psycho is a flawless masterpiece.

Johnny Depp is one of the most versatile and talented actors of his generation. He's not on par with guys like De Niro but he's still excellent. The only time I don't like him is when he plays a role similar to something like his Mad Hatter or Willy Wonka, then he's just annoying. But he's brilliant in roles like Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, and even Captain Jack Sparrow (at least until he overdid it).

I actually agree with you. Even with the Doors he pretty much made up ideas to get a point across and the whole film went from being a biopic to being total fan fiction. He's good when coming up with his own stories, though. Notably Any Given Sunday.
