I find it pointless. most movies don't even utilize the 3D. There was no reason for Avatar to even be in 3D. It didn't even improve anything. 3D is just used to hide the fact you have a shitty movie on your hands.

Actually, quite a few people don't like 3D. Most film buffs these days are against 3D. Notably post conversion 3D like The Last Airbender and Clash of the Titans. 3D ruins movies. I used to think it would be cool if we got a 3D movie every couple years or so, but now we get one every week. Its really annoying and utterly pointless.

I agree Shutter Island is underrated. I think its an excellent movie. However, I also think its one of Scorsese's weaker films.

Yes, the Town and Machete are both worth seeing. The Town is an excellent heist movie and Machete is just plain fun.

005 Directors: Scorsese, Martin comment
Departed, Goodfellas, Casino, and Raging Bull are all better than Shutter Island. But I personally enjoyed Shutter Island more than Taxi Driver. Still, Taxi Driver is technically a better movie.
