I had a great history teacher in college who loved to compare real history with Hollywood history, and Braveheart was one of her favorite subjects. Williams Wallace as portrayed in the film, is, for the most part, accurate, however, there is very little information regarding him, so they had to invent a lot to fill in the holes.
