No, Its Not Better Than The Matrix

Not that often do movies come along that are hyped as high as incpetion but also deliver as much. Avatar immediately comes to mind (though this is better), but there have been others as well.
Inception is not as good as The Matrix, and may not even be better than Dark City or some of the other recent sci fi films. But, make no mistake, this is one of the best movies of the last 5 yeras (if not the best). For me personally, it is the best movie I have seen since Minority Report or The Aviator. And, it may be better than those with time. Now I love Sci Fi, so my opinion is slightly biased.
I don't need to touch on a whole lot of points with this movie. The acting was good - Leo was awesome as usual but so was Joseph Gordon Levitt who has matured into a top notch actor. Yes he can do comedy, but it is obvious he can do action and complex stories as well. The cast is very well assembled with each character serviing a purpose, all perfect for their roles. Nice work Nolan.
The story is fairly complex, and I love that about this movie. The sci fi nature really got me and I enjoyed watching it unravel with various twists and turns. In the end, it was actually fairly original - a combination of The Thirteenth Floor, Dark City, The Cell and yes, The Matrix.
So why is this movie not higher on my list? For one, I ahve only seen it once. It didn't blow me away like The Matrix did, so I know it is not as good as that. But maybe it was as good as Minority Report or Dark City. Not sure yet and only time will tell.
I do have a few problems with the beginning part of the movie. It was a little rushed and not taken serious enough.
The best movie of 2010, and I doubt anything will beat it.
