Ben Affleck's Town

So The Town is Ben Affleck's second attempt at direction and he does a fine job. He also does a fine job acting. Surprised? I was. The Town take a good look at the Boston streets and specific neighborhoods where Affleck himself is familiar with. I am not a Ben Affleck fan (and in fact usually stay away from any movies that he is in).
This movie is good. It is a solid crime thriller that will keep you on your feet and will keep you guessing. Affleck is a good guy/bad guy and Jeremy Renner is just plain bad. The story is a bout a smart bunch of dudes that do bank heists for a living. Affleck is the smart one of the group, trying to change his live.
The story is told pretty well. I felt like the Boston setting was real. The camera direction and cinematography was slightly above average but nothing special. Most of the movie was just plain solid - not bad music, not bad acting, not bad story.
The ending is a total cop out and something I expected from Ben Affleck. I am hopeful that in his next pic, he can stray away from what is expected and go for true cinema glory. Recommended for action/crime/thriller/good movie fans.
