Bigelow's potrayal of greatest man hunt in the history of world, is dramatic valor. Chastain takes the lead role as Maya the CIA operative whose only mission is to f**k up UBL. The 10 year long mission to bring an end to the greatest terror any mankind feared is task uphill and Bigelow does it with prowess and finesse. The grand scenario that sets up in the final 45 minutes is thrilling to the best. The sheer silence without a hunch of music in the impulsive climax is Bigelow's beauty in direction. The various ideas of torture like dog belt, sleeping in a box and water droll in face is sheer torture. No reluctance seen anywhere in the writing. The Hurt Locker team is back with another Oscar wonder!
After attack of WTC, by Al Qaeda, US begins a strategy to pull the man out of the dark. The honest and hard earned efforts of Maya does not go in vain. UBL is there and it is not a probability but a confirmation of 100%. Her words drive confidence, her anger reveals facts and Bigelow gives Chastain a sofa to curl up and a knife to suck the food, and also she hardly gives time for habits. One might feel bad about the run time, as I really waited for the hunt. It should have been a simple 2 hour movie, but wait a lengthy 10 year plan is wrapped up in 150 minutes. Thank goodness that years were skipped by twice to give a confidence in wrapping things up. But the final four months, is honestly interesting. The night of hunt is dramatic wonder. Bigelow uses night vision cameras to bring excitement to the proceedings. The end is clear! Not saying that, they are ready to find him, or a vague ending. But they have got the target. It is 100% assurance. Zero dark thirty is, a riveting thriller saved for the last thirty. It is dark brooding thriller. The last thing to say, that Bigelow holds the ace right. Bingo !
