I don’t know why an academy nominee director, decided for mediocrity. Parker has Jason Statham, the macho man I like to some extent. For an action hero, we need a plot, not a forceful plot. I mean it. Parker does not have anything. It starts with a quick action scene and then the film moves without any aim. Alright Parker wants to find the men who betrayed him and give them a payback. Is that all? How many kind of such movies we have encountered? Not from a talented director!!! There is Statham, who places gun traps, executes plans well, fights from a building top with a knife in his hand and holy bloody violent set ups. But who cares here? Statham does not have anything to prove here. Well Jennifer Lopez does a good job in fact. But there is full stop. I really don’t care about sidekicks.
To some point, I did not even know what Statham is doing in the film? When things got saturated, I found a plot , heist of jewels from an auction.. Did I mention that new? No way, we have seen many heist’s in our movie life. This movie deserves a tomato hit right in the face for meanly executing the heist. I assure that this is gotta be the worst heist movie ever. Jason Statham needs to pick right choices for his career. If this movie is gonna be watched, it is all because of Statham. If any other small timer would have replaced, no one would have cared. A big actor, good actress and a great director together form a mediocre film. This happens! I am shocked. Parker is just a film that fights for survival. Whether it enters into garbage van? Not exactly. But it enters into the nominee.
