The D-sign is here. All time classics of Tarantino give everyone a feeling that his movies are out of time. Django here is the story that sets still further into the 18th century. Tarantino knows what to give in the film. The bloody gun shots, impromptu shoot outs and technically smart camera zooming that give an edge to the film. Not only that, he knows how to keep a viewer interested even when a lengthy conversation is on film. A perfect cast chosen for the film ensures a rock solid entertainment. I was a bit disappointed with its duration. Over 165 minutes, Django unchained is big and too much taken for its intricate plot. Tarantino saves his best time for the climactic assault. Whoa ! I never relented to put my face down to appreciate the final 40 minutes into the film. Here is Tarantino at his best. Every shoot out in the film whether small slow motion shots, continuous shot gun assault or the big blast in the film, Django is action packed.

Jamie Fox, Christoph Waltz and Dicaprio, the trio that shook the screen over and over whenever together they took their own time to hasten and specify their dialogs and when everything was ready, action unplugs. Jamie and Waltz were decisive in action as bounty hunters and Dicaprio plays the sporty and trendy businessman who works for money and power. I appreciate Tarantino to write their characters extremely well. But once the characters are perfectly written, performances take the ace in the hole. All the three, even I include Samuel L Jackson have done stellar performance. When Dicaprio says about the three cavities in the skull, and when he demonstrates with a girl, he is such a bad ass. Christoph Waltz cares to give freedom to the people who deserves and finally to say Fox made the great presence in the finale. This is Tarantino’s Django and the D-sign is here. Tarantino and the superb combination deliver a classy 18th century entertainment in modern era. Action unchained!
