Just pain, but no gain

Michael Bay’s adaptation of the true story just has pain, but no gain. If you have patience of watching a dialog driven comedy film with The Rock in it, just make sure to be having interest right from start. I appreciate Bay for taking a break from his regular cataclysmic summer escapism films. Nothing inspiring, just a chance taken for a comedy film. Rock Factor: Weak. Punch lines: Neither. Action: Amateurish. Performances: Childish. Bay uses Wahlberg and Johnson to play the gym trainers who do extortions, kidnappings and killings. Thankfully Johnson played the Rundown guy (I won’t kill people). But he tried to be bad. Bad judgment: Bay misfires my thinking. Disgusting fact: Despite, many attempts of killing, the man still survives. Death sentence avoided for Johnson. Jesus Bay, did you give a human of super powers? Comedy punch: Hardly engaging. Narrative speed: Quick and racy. Only saving factor. Not a typical Michael Bay style of filming, Good Job. But Alas! A slapstick dumb comedy. I might fail it on its own terms. But thankfully few good smiles made me to go for the better side. Below par and that’s final. Bay goes for an experiment of non destructible action. Bumpy, hell ride for sure, but misses by miles in all proportions. Bay at his best. (At least good than Transformers)
