A tense thriller from action-captain Greengrass

The captain of this film Mr. Greengrass has got it all right. He drives us into the real adaptation of Captain Phillips hijack scenario played by terrific Hanks and his fellow somalian pirates lead by newbie Abdi. The film as a whole was my pick of the best. I liked every aspect of this film. The story was intense, narrative was gripping, the music was awesome and the cinematography was pin point. The tense moments Greengrass creates after an hour into the movie keeps us waiting for the reaction to come by. The script never relents to go down, rather every move made by Greengrass be it the puzzling action, hard hitting dialogues works really well. I might givc a bit low for the film rather than a full score, because it had a run time of nearly one hundred and thirty minutes. That is way too long for a ¬¬drama film. But hey I might still look it was good enough. If I am the editor of the film, I might cut down 10 minutes or so, but that won’t make any difference.
Hanks was awesome in his role. He really made me believe that he is the captain of Maersk Alabama. The pirates in this film! OMG they were freaking superb. The leader Abdi was striking intense expressions and his chemistry with Hanks is sure to watch out for. The real mood setter for the film comes from the score of Henry Jackman. The background score was pulsating and certain tracks kept me waiting for the intensity of a particular scene. The surprise twists were good enough, the brooding yet glorious climax part was clap worthy and the last frame performance from Hanks surely deserves Oscar selection, if not a winner. Captain Phillips on the whole was interesting, action thriller. I loved it, enjoyed every bit of it and I would surely recommend this film. This is a movie with daunting surprise and Greengrass, deserves to be the captain. Mission accomplished. Hanks you get my marks. Abdi, you steal the show. Way to go. Board the cruise! It is a ride you will never forget. A-
