An important move from a historic perspective.....

I remember watching this movie in a movie club I used to be a member of where they showed weird and rare movies, this was before the days of internet. The idea behind the movie is a good and the story is good, that's why I don't give it half a star. But guys, wake up. This is a movie from 1924. To calling this a masterpiece and a good movie is like saying a toddlers painting is better than a Nordrum painting and support the argument with they are equally good because they could not do any better at the time it was made. It's an interesting watch based on a movie history perspective, but this is really horrible, and not in a good way.
I am against puritism that claim that everything was so much better in the good old days, because it really wasn't. It's an important movie, no doubt, but that doesn't change the fact that it's boring, blackwhite, made in 1924, and less scary than bob the builder.
