Corny and a complete Rocky rip off

Hugh Jackman should be embarrassed that he degraded himself by starring in this shameless robot rip off of Rocky. It is almost a complete carbon copy of Rocky and it is beyond stupid, especially in the scenes were the kid dances with his robot. The fact that robots are fighting instead of people takes away any sense of danger or drama, and lowers the fight scenes down to complete video game level. There is also an abundance of really bad music, and a complete lack of explanation for why these robot fights are occurring. The movie plays like a total kiddie movie, until out of the blue there is a savage "Goodfellas" type beating of the main character and his kid, which is almost completely out of place. I am being very generous by giving this knucklehead movie two stars. A solid performance by Evangeline Lilly is one of the movie's few bright spots.
