Now this one is a sod to score, for the following reason: The cons: 1. There is not ONE original idea on display here. It rips off not only every zombie film out there, but also Alien Resurrection, The Matrix, The Terminator, and even Scanners. 2. The director has NO idea how to pace a story. There is no build up, no suspense, and precious little context for the characters and their motives (this is particularly true of the completely wasted Nemesis.) 3. The last 20 minutes of the film are absolutely nonsensical; it feels like there is a huge chunk of the film missing! And worse, it feels suspiciously like a feeble tacked on excuse to introduce yet another sequel. The pros: 1. You get to see beautiful women kick zombie ass in some impressively staged set pieces. 2. Erm...that's it. If that's enough for you (and call me shallow, but for the first hour I was actually enjoying it!) then go for it. Now, the score. If you can resist the temptation to continue watching after the bomb is dropped, it gets a 2.5. If you can't, knock a star off. You have been warned!
