Certainly worth watching for the gorgeous Gilliamesque production design, this dark gothic fairytale from Jeunet otherwise didn't blow me away. It's certainly visually pleasing, but I felt it was a bit of a case of style over substance. I may have been expecting too much, but it definitely warrants a rewatch.
