If you knew a secret that would hurt your best friend should you tell him?
Ronny Valentine (Vince Vaughn) and Nick Brannen (Kevin James) have been best friends since college. They both work as partners in an auto design firm, and after pitching a new electric car design with the aid of their consultant Susan Warner (Queen Latifah), they are given a week to build it. Things get complicated when Ronny discovers that his best friend's wife Geneva, played by Winona Ryder, is having a steamy love affair with the tattooed Channing Tatum. He is stuck between telling Nick now, who is already stressed about the new job, or waiting. He confronts Geneva with his new found knowledge but she threatens Ronny that if he tells Nick anything, she will inform him about her and Ronny's shared past. Ronny thus begins a campaign to get evidence and expose Geneva for the cheating wife she is.
