Dr. Frank Gregorio,(Chazz Palminteri) has always dreamed about becoming a singer but instead chose to follow his parents dream and become a doctor instead. He is a faithful husband, devoted father, doting grandfather and takes care of his elderly father but after 40 years of marriage begins to feel that something is missing in his life(mid life crisis at age 60 ???). With the wedding of his youngest daughter Susan coming up, Frank wants to get his rusty vocal cords in order and so he begins paying regular visits to a nearby karaoke bar lounge. Initially his wife Angelina accompanies him on his quest to rehearse but eventually stays home as she realizes that the karaoke venture is serving an entirely different need in her husband's life as he muses about what could've been had he tried to make a career out of music.
Instead Frank’s passion for singing is stroked by femme fatale Lydia (Linda Fiorentino) who believes strongly in his talent although she hasn't been entirely forthright about her true intentions towards Frank. Will Frank’s obsession with singing and his fascination with Lydia cause the dissolution of his marriage??? Guess you’ll just have to watch to find the answer to that question!
