I have been a fan of Marvel characters since I was a kid and NOTHING even comes close to being as AWESOME as this! With all my favorite characters in one movie…this was a dream come true. Boys, gals and avid movie goers…after years of anticipation, you can finally breathe again. Joss Whedon has done a remarkable job writing this masterful, witty script with excellent comedic timing that ingeniously put together all these characters and made it all flow perfectly. (Coincidentally he also is one of the writers for "The Cabin in the Woods also starring Chris Hemsworth.)

This is the movie fans have been hyping over ever since we got a glimpse at Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) at the end of Iron Man. My biggest concern was how they were going to put all these legendary characters into one film and provide them all with enough screen time to achieve some character development. Even after seeing it I have no idea how they did it, but they not only did it they smashed it.

Right from the start I was taken on a ride of my life. The Avengers is not only a blast to watch with an explosive mix of humor, and ass kicking fight sequences but this may be one of the best superhero movies of all-time. It was absolutely brilliant!!!! There is not a single dull moment in this movie despite clocking in at approximately two-and-a-half hours. It never fails to mesmerize, barreling headlong into the chaos like an enraged Hulk let loose in Manhattan New York City while giving its hunky heroes sufficient room to breathe and flex their ridiculously chiseled muscles. I was absolutely drooling throughout this ticking time bomb of a movie.

Captain America (Chris Evans) is strong and serious, and he is always ready to get the job done, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow is manipulative and cunning, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is incredibly reliable support, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) wreck sh*t, Fury is the soul of the team, and the ferocious green form known as the Incredible Hulk whom Bruce Banner refers to as "The Other Guy" (Mark Ruffalo) smashes. The villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the film's antagonist made the perfect enemy for these phenomenal heroes.

If you are a fan of the comics, you will love how the characters all have their complex attributes displayed, and how all their strengths combine to form a team. Anyway, to sum it up: This movie delivers on just about every level and towards the end of the movie I was grinning like a giddy school girl out on her first date.
