Kirk Douglas is convincing as the tough marshal determined to bring to justice his wife's killers even if it means going up against long time friend, Anthony Quinn a rich land baron and rancher especially since Quinn had once saved Douglas' life in an earlier time. Quinn is reluctant to hand his only boy over to the law when he becomes a suspect in the rape and murder of Douglas’s Native American wife and will do everything in his power to make sure Douglas doesn't get on the last train from Gun Hill. It all leads to an inevitable and violent confrontation. Recommended for those of you who like Westerns!
