“Only in New York City".

Advertising executive Henry (Steve Martin) has just lost his job unknown to his wife Nancy (Goldie Hawn) who is facing the loneliness of an empty nest with their two children establishing independent lives. Things are not going well, and when Henry decides to go to NYC for a job interview Nancy decides to tag along but things only get worse when their train leaves them behind after their airplane is delayed. Our hapless couple from an Ohio Suburb loses their baggage in which their extra cash are hidden, are mugged, kicked out of their hotel because their credit card has been overdrawn by their own daughter, incarcerated, drugged and during all their misadventures, they find love again.
There are plenty of funny moments to keep your attention throughout such as the sexaholics meeting and the then mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani's double-take at discovering Henry and Nancy in flagrante on Central Parks' lawn. Hawn and Martin are charming but the colorful John Cleese is a gem as the manager of the hotel in which they are trying to register and steals the comedic limelight.
