An ineffective thriller; the characters are underwritten, the direction is everywhere and the cast looks ill-at-ease (including a heavily made-up James Mason); individual scenes stand out, particularly when a piano is playing itself, but it suffers from a lack of focus and would've benefitted from either more comedy or more chills. FInal Grade: C+
