COndescending, unlikely-handled thriller pitting adolescents in a military academy against the Army and the board of directors who decided to shut down the school; hotshot Tom Cruise overplays, George C. Scott is remarkably thankless as the tired General and Timothy Hutton proves to be to mature for his role. Only Ronny Cox adds depth as a sane commander on the other side of the gate. Final Grade: C
