Another Stephen King adaptation which starts promisingly and quickly turns sour and ridiculous; Ron Perlman is good, but the monster (which we never really get a look at) is pathetic, lurching his voice out of the darkness to stop one man, when we're to believe he can murder an entire town; and the young boy, so sweet and so keenly religous you'd swear he knew God intimately. Final Grade: C
