Another Bergman Gem

Melancholy, matter-of-fact look at the maternity ward of a hospital; it's stagy and a little claustrophobic, but not without director Ingmar Bergman's control and it features some excellent characterizations, particularly by Bibi Andersson. Final Grade: B
