A beautifully-realized drama about living in a divided world, made all the more compelling by realistic, finely-tuned performances from the entire cast; Testud and Trieb seamlessly portray the young girl with deaf parents in two life stages, while Howie Seago and Laborit convey the proper sternness and affection required as the gruff patriarch hardened by a life without sound and the Earthly, loving matriarch that loves life to the fullest. A hands down winner with expert detail and scenes that ring of truth with only the outcome of a couple of relationships left unexplored. FInal Grade: A-
