Disturbing and horrific throughout but I was arrested by it... This movie is totally absorbing and somehow you want to watch it again despite wishing it's over while you watch it. I didn't really like what Kubrick did with Stephen King's The Shining but I don't think I'll feel the same about this movie after reading the book.
