BAD but GREAT as a comedy

Where do I begin with this? One of those movies that's so bad it's good, but only when watching as a comedy. TONS of comedy in this one. Cheesy one-liners: "if you come back in here, I'll hit you with so many rights, you're gonna beg for a left", "it's time to die", etc. TONS of senseless violence, like the army of terrorists gunning down a boat of Cuban refuges fleeing to the US for no apparent reason, the terrorists attacking CIVILIAN targets instead of military and government targets. Maybe it's just me, but one would think if you're invading a country and trying to overthrow a government that those would be the targets you go after. Oh, I can't forget about our band of international terrorists invading the US with WORLD WAR II LANDING CRAFT and SOMEHOW getting past the navy AND coast guard. And without spoiling anything too much, there's a scene where our evil terrorist leader Rostov is trading cocaine for weapons and it is easily one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen. But even all the great comedy in this flick can only bring it to a 1 star rating. BAD, even by 80's standards
