"Terrible Train"

Looking back on her early films as "Scream Queen", it's amazing that Jamie Lee Curtis ever got a "real" career. "Halloween" excepted, of course, a second viewing of "Terror Train" so soon after the original "Prom Night" has left me highly discouraged about not only her, but also the birth of the slasher movie.
It's not that they both didn't follow the formula perfectly, it's just that the past occurence that causes the "slasher's" acts of violence gets more ridiculous with each one. I'd rather have no explanation than some of the stories they came up with.
And if they were a little more suspenseful, perhaps I wouldn't care.
