A few weeks after seeing "Swing Vote", a movie to which I was literally dragged, I can remember very little about it. What I remember most is the trailer that I saw 100 times prior, which made it look like a cute movie, if entirely predictable.
Perhaps the reaon is that there's nothing in the movie that adds to the trailer. Since you don't even find out which candidate Kevin Costner eventually chooses, there's nothing new. And the story's not significant enough to require the backstory or attempted drama that's thrown in.
Nevertheless, I can't help but feel that in better hands, this could have been something special, particularly during an election year.
